National Peace Officers Memorial Day -Friday, May 15
This tribute to American law enforcement officers was signed into law in 1994. At the request of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Public Law 103-322 designates Peace Officers Memorial Day as one of only two days each year during which government agencies, businesses and residents are to fly their U.S. flags at half-staff.
National Armed Forces Day – Saturday, May 16
Armed Forces Day is a holiday for people to come together and thank the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. First conceived by President Harry S. Truman, the holiday was established in 1949 and is celebrated on the third Saturday of every May.

Memorial Day – Monday, May 25
Memorial Day is a day for remembrance of those who have died in service to our country and to remind people of the ultimate sacrifice that our military members have made so that we may enjoy our freedom. The National Moment of Remembrance, established by Congress, asks Americans, wherever they are at 3 p.m., local time, on Memorial Day, to pause in an act of national unity for a duration of one minute to honor those who died in service to the United States.
Flag Day – Sunday, June 14
This day commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which occurred on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the second Continental Congress. Please remember to fly your American flag on this day.
U.S. Army Birthday – Sunday, June 14
The U.S. Army was founded on June 14, 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized enlistment of riflemen to serve the United Colonies for one year.
