Patriot Day – Sunday, September 11: Saturday, September 11, is annual observance to remember those who were injured or died during the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001.
Constitution Day – Saturday, September 17: This year is the 235th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution by delegates to the Constitutional Convention on September 17, 1787. Written in 1787, ratified in 1788, and in operation since 1789, the United States Constitution is the world’s longest surviving written charter of government. Its first three words – “We The People” – affirm that the government of the United States exists to serve its citizens. U.S. Air Force Birthday – Sunday, September 18: We salute our members who served in the U.S. Air Force. The Air Force became a separate service on Sept. 18, 1947 when President Harry S. Truman signed the National Security Act of 1947. See a fantastic illustrated history of the U.S. Air Force here.
